Traditional Neapolitan pizza with tomato, mozzarella, and basil.

cup pizza dough

cup tomato sauce

cup mozzarella cheese

cup fresh basil leaves

Directions

Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) and place a pizza stone inside if available.

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.

Spread tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border.

Tear mozzarella into small pieces and distribute them over the sauce.

Drizzle olive oil over the top and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Bake in the preheated oven for 7-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and immediately add fresh basil leaves.
